Hood River Pumping Station and Pipeline Trail in Hood River, Oregon

This is a place with two unique and magical places to see. The first, the abandoned Hood River Pumping Station, is at the parking lot to the Hood River Pipeline Trail. It is a decommissioned hydroelectric facility that used to supply electricity to Hood River, Oregon from 1923 until 2006. It was shut down after a 2006 flood destroyed the dam upstream.
